Estate Planning and Probate

Kevin R. Keogh and Michele R. Yeh have extensive experience in all phases of estate planning, probate law, trusts and estate administration. Kevin Keogh, in addition to his admission to the Ohio Bar, is admitted in Florida and regularly counsels and visits his clients in that state.

Kevin Keogh and Michele Yeh prepare documents as simple as wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives, and as complex as family limited partnerships, by-pass trusts, special needs trusts, life insurance trusts, charitable foundations, gifting programs and marital transfers. They counsel clients on domicile transfer, fiduciary choices and selection (and monitoring) of investment advisors.

The firm’s estate planners begin their engagement by obtaining detailed client and family information, a listing of assets and liabilities, life insurance, retirement assets, expectancies, and the manner in which title to real estate is held. They work closely with their clients’ accountants and financial advisors to ensure that the estate plans are consistent across the various disciplines and are actually and properly implemented.

Kevin Keogh and Michele Yeh are experienced in the valuation of closely held businesses and in succession planning. They routinely set up buy-sell agreements to provide estate liquidity and transition of ownership.

The firm administers probate estates in Ohio and Florida and employs an experienced paralegal to assist in the various court filings.
