Kelli Hooper is a second career attorney, having spent the first half of her professional life as a medical researcher with UCLA Medical Center and Public Health Prevention Service Fellow with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta.
As an attorney, Kelli has spent the last decade representing individuals and families in civil litigation in State and Federal court in Georgia.
Since 2007, Kelli has served on a number of nonprofit boards in the Atlanta area, including but not limited to the Atlanta Non-Profit Professionals, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.
As of-counsel at Koehler Fitzgerald, Kelli supports the Out-of-Network Defense practice, handling all aspects of defense of balance bills from the complaint stage to appeals in Georgia.
Kelli is a frequent invited lecturer on family law related matters, and is Chair of the Child Support Committee for the American Bar Association, Family Law Section, and is the Chair-Elect of the American Association of Justice, Family Law Section.
Kelli is an alumna of the American Bar Association Family Law Section Diversity Committee Fellowship Program, as well as the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Leadership Academy.
She is the proud mother of Samuel and Laura, and has been the devoted wife of Capt. Virgil C. Hooper, Jr (US Air Force) for 24 years. In her free time, she is an amateur woodworker and loves to play Scrabble.
